How to Save Laptop Battery / Notebook

If you often go to cafes, malls, airports or to other places and always carry a notebook / net book, you may often run into problems due to power your notebook's battery does not last long when ignited. To fix this, try using the following tips to conserve battery from your notebook or net book you have.

These tips will not be useful if the battery from your notebook may be old or drop the condition has only lasted for a few minutes when ignited. There is no other way than to replace old batteries with new notebook. For others, the condition is still normal notebook battery, can try this exciting tips.

To help maximize the performance of your notebook battery, it is important to first understand how the actual workings of the battery and where power is applied. By understanding this you will be able to determine what steps should be done in order to save battery life of laptop you have.

Where the electric current flowing from the battery?
Microsoft, through its Engineering Windows 7 blog has compiled his diagrams are very useful for you to learn anywhere electricity flows in your notebook. In the diagram it is clear that the LCD screen is the most devices consume a lot of energy from the notebook. From the diagram it is also you can help us to maximize the saving of the battery of the notebook / net
book you're using.

The first thing you need to do for power efficiency is to determine by careful configuration of the battery saving, whenever your notebook's screen will turn off automatically when not in use (see the diagram once again, the LCD screen is the most wasteful power devices) and other arrangements.

Next, do the efficiency of other devices such as hard disk drive to determine how long it will stop after no data transfer, power savings for the Wi-Fi, processors, graphics cards and other devices. You also can determine when the fan of the notebook will turn on, whether to remain at the default (following the performance of operating system) or as you wish (in some conditions will slow the performance of the notebook), which would certainly save more battery from your notebook.

In accordance with what we see in the diagram, the most important of all how to save the battery, is to do a power saving on the screen. You can make savings by controlling the light coming out of the notebook screen and reduce the brightness or contras to a certain extent where you can still see the screen notebooks. Although important, this is not recommended for those of you who have a vision that is less sharp because it can cause pain in your eyes. So although important, do not sacrifice your eyes just for a notebook battery.

Continue with the next step, turn off several devices at the time was not used but are still active. Devices that may not be as useful as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LAN cards and other devices that are not needed. Try to avoid the use of external devices are like an external hard drive, flash disk or other USB devices because some of the devices it is very draining performance from your notebook battery.

In addition to hardware, software sometimes also be the cause of your notebook can not last long when ignited. Moreover, if in your notebook a lot of applications running in the background (applications are still running but not visible on screen) the actual application is not required. For those who are used to tinkering with the system, you can easily to turn off these useless applications. But for the "blank" and not used to be puzzled how to turn off the application. This can be overcome by using a software aerofoil that can help you to overcome them. Aerofoil is one of the free software that can help you manage applications running on your notebook and can help you to save power in notebook.

One more step you need to do to save the battery, try to use Hibernate mode when your notebook is not in use. Hibernate mode does not completely turn off your notebook, but this is a good option if you do not use the notebook without having to shut down applications that you used earlier.

As an additional step, you need to perform maintenance on your notebook batteries because basically the longer the battery notebook then the resilience and quality of the battery power goes down. You can perform maintenance spare battery by your notebook to work at room temperature the heat and remove the battery from your notebook when unused for long periods of time.

How long a battery life of your notebook at this time?

Eliminate the "BLUE SCREEN", when the hard drive was moved to another computer

I've experienced this, when the computer main board is damaged then I installed a new main board with the same hard drive using the old hard drive. Is that ...? Blue screen appears or the person is usually called "the blue screen."

This arises because the blue
screen windows system to detect different chipset drivers with a new main board, and there was a blue screen.

For a technician, this trick is very helpful at all if you need to check the main
board without having to install from scratch. And of course who can save more time for other work.

The steps to hard disks Moved to Another Computer Without a Blue Screen:
  1. The sequence is START => Control Panel => double-click System
  2. Double click on "IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers"
  3.  So visible visible primary, secondary, and then type your main board chipset, usually SIS, Intel, VIA, etc.. It is this chipset and drivers you need to change to the standard default Windows drivers. If there are 2 chipset drivers are detected, then you should replace them with standard default Windows drivers.
follow the instructions below image :

If there are drivers who do not change the standard to the original standard, do the same way.
Please try .... may be useful

LAPTOP

A laptop, also called a notebook, is a personal computer for mobile use. A laptop integrates most of the typical components of a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard, a pointing device (a touchpad, also known as a scroll pad, and/or a pointing stick) and speakers into a single unit. A laptop is powered by mains electricity via an AC adapter, and can be used away from an outlet using a rechargeable battery.
Portable computers, originally monochrome CRT-based and developed into the modern laptops, and were originally considered to be a small niche market, mostly for specialized field applications such as the military, accountants and sales representatives. As portable computers became smaller, lighter, cheaper, more powerful and as screens became larger and of better quality, laptops became very widely used for all sorts of purposes.

History

As the personal computer became feasible in the early 1970s, the idea of a portable personal computer followed. A "personal, portable information manipulator" was imagined by alan kay at xerox parc in 1968, and described in his 1972 paper as the "dynabook".
The ibm scamp project (special computer apl machine portable), was demonstrated in 1973. This prototype was based on the palm processor (put all logic in microcode).
The ibm 5100, the first commercially available portable computer, appeared in
September 1975, and was based on the scamp prototype.
As 8-bit cpu machines became widely accepted, the number of portables increased rapidly. The osborne 1, released in 1981, used the zilog z80 and weighed 23.6 pounds (10.7 kg). It had no battery, a 5 in (13 cm) crt screen, and dual 5.25 in (13.3 cm) single-density floppy drives. In the same year the first laptop-sized portable computer, the epson hx-20, was announced. The epson had a lcd screen, a rechargeable battery, and a calculator-size printer in a 1.6 kg (3.5 lb) chassis. Both tandy/radioshack and hp also produced portable computers of varying designs during this period.
The first laptops using the flip form factor appeared in the early 1980s. The dulmont magnum was released in australia in 1981–82, but was not marketed internationally until 1984–85. The $8,150 ($18,540 today) grid compass 1100, released in 1982, was used at nasa and by the military among others. The gavilan sc, released in 1983, was the first computer described as a "laptop" by its manufacturer from 1983 onward, several new input techniques were developed and included in laptops, including the touchpad (gavilan sc, 1983), the pointing stick (ibm thinkpad 700, 1992) and handwriting recognition (linus write-top, 1987). Some cpu
s, such as the 1990 intel i386sl, were designed to use minimum power to increase battery life of portable computers, and were supported by dynamic power management features such as intel speed step and amd power now! In some designs.

Regarding Modem You Must Know!

Understanding Modem and Modem function I will discuss this time. Modem stands for Modulator Demodulator comes from. Modulator is a part that converts the information signal into a signal carrier (Carrier) and is ready to be sent, while the demodulator is the part that separates signaling information (which contain data or messages) of the carrier signal (carrier) received that information can be received well. Modem is an amalgamation of both, it means the modem is a two-way communication tool. Any long-distance communication device generally uses two-way section called "modem", such as VSAT, Microwave Radio, and so forth, but generally the term more commonly known as the modem hardware that is often used for communication on the computer.
Data from a computer in the form
digital signal provided to the modem to be converted into an analog signal.
Analog signals can be transmitted through multiple media such as telephone and radio telecommunications.

On arrival at the destination modem, analog signals are converted into digital signals and sent to the computer again. There are two types of modems are physical,
external modem and internal modem.

Modem is divided into:

1.
Analog modem is a modem that converts analog signals into digital signals
2.
ADSL Modem
3.
The cable modem is a modem that receives data directly  from the service provider via cable TV
4.
CDMA Modem
5.
Modem 3GP
6.
GSM Modem

Modem function

Modem function is to convert digital signals into voice signals and also conversely. This modem has been developed with a range of facilities that are useful, for example, voice modem. With this facility, voice modem, change the modem function not only as a connector to the internet but more than that, the modem can be a radio channel, audio, streaming video to a phone conversation.
The inventor of the PC Modem
Dennis C. Hayes found a modem for personal computers (PCs) in 1977, whose results are able to establish the most important technologies that make today's world can be always online, and arouse the Internet industry to grow.
He first named the Hayes modem products to sell to the computer in April 1977, and later founded the company DC Hayes Associates, Inc.., The latter known as Hayes Corp.., In January 1978. Quality and innovation of products produced in Hayes performance improvement and cost reduction so as to lead the industry in the transition from leased line modems to intelligent dial-up modems for PCs.
