Benefits of Various Risks Faced Strawberry Diseases

Behind it tastes fresh, strawberry fruit has many health benefits. One of them is able to maintain red blood cells from damage caused by oxidation processes, so that the body be more robust in the face of risk of disease.

Benefits of antioxidants in strawberry and it is already known and proven in vitro or in laboratory. In the experiments whose results published in the journal Food Chemistry, researchers involved 12 participants. Each was given an additional 500 grams of strawberry food every day, and blood samples taken on days 4, 8, 12, 16 and a month afterwards.

The results of blood tests showed, strawberry consumption on a regular basis can increase the capacity of red blood cells or erythrocytes to accommodate the content of antioxidants. Other impacts, erythrocytes became more resistant to hemolysis or damage resulting from the oxidation process.

"We proved that the strawberry is able to make red blood cells are more resistant to the effects of oxidative stress. The impact will be very influential in a variety of disease risk," said one researcher, Maurizio Battino as quoted from ScienceDaily

As revealed by Battino, antioxidant capacity of erythrocytes to accommodate and resist the influence of oxidative stress associated with different risks of disease. The better the quality of red blood cells, the smaller the chance of separately developing cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes.

These benefits can also be obtained by eating strawberries on a smaller servings daily. In that experiment, the researchers also found that consumption of 150 grams and 200 grams of strawberries per day also could provide a similar effect.
